How do I format in-text citations?

In-text citations (how to cite your source, even if it indirect, electronic, or without page numbers)

Should I use Endnotes or Footnotes?  

Neither!  APA recommends against using endnotes and footnotes.  Instead, use in-text citations and a list of References at the end of the paper.

What is a reference list and how do I format it?

Reference List - A reference list is a list of references that you cited in the text of your paper.  This list should be on a separate page and be titled References.

What is a bibliography?

Bibliography - A bibliography is a list of sources that you consulted while researching your paper.  Use the same format as when putting together a Reference List.

What is an annotated bibliography?

Annotated Bibliography - An annotated bibliography is a bibliography with annotations.  Annotations are short descriptions and evaluations of each source listed in a bibliography.
