COVID-19 Information & Resources

For information on Library Services during COVID-19 closures and general reference and information relating to COVID-19 itself.

The Changing Nature of our Situation

Given the changing nature of the COVID-19 situation, library services may alter according to public health guidelines and university guidelines in ways we do not currently expect. We will update this guide to reflect any changes that occur. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these times of uncertainty.

The NMSU Library is following guidance from the New Mexico governor and NMSU Administration. For more information, check out NMSU's current COVID plans via the NMSU NOW webpage

Both Zuhl and Branson Libraries are open to the public for fall 2021 and we are thrilled to be back with our NMSU community!

Guidelines and Behavioral Expectations

  • In compliance with the Governor's orders, HED guidance, and NMSU COVID practices outlined in the Crimson Commitment, anyone entering the library must wear a mask while in the building. At all times, a face covering must be worn properly for safety.
  • We once again welcome consumption of food or drink within the library. Please respect the face covering requirement and mask up if you are not actively eating or drinking.
  • Zuhl Fuel is currently closed because of supply issues, but will hopefully reopen soon.
  • Have questions? You can ask for clarification at the Library Service Desk or Reference Desk.

We want to acknowledge the love and admiration we have for our NMSU community as we all embrace continued COVID-19 safety measures to keep our community safe. NMSU Aggies really are a resilient and brilliant community! Thank you everyone for doing your part to keep us all safe and healthy.

Library Updates

During the pandemic, the Library debuted a new tool to more easily get information on the status of various library services. Our systems dashboard is viewable in the box below this one and via banner on the Library website.

The tabs on the left hand side also have additional information and are updated regularly if anything changes.
